Fairy Houses

Every Tuesday, we meet up with some great friends at a local park.  Yesterday, we brought along this fantastic library book, one that I especially enjoy because it is set on a island off the coast of Maine:

We read the book together and as soon as we finished, the kids all jumped into action looking for natural materials to build their own fairy house.  They scoured the park, then selected the base of a huge tree as the perfect spot to build.  They looked like they were having so much fun, here are some photos:
