Saturday was a big day - it was Garrett's 14th birthday -
and the Peaks Island 5 Miler race day. Silas ran the kids 1K, his first race ever. He did a great job and is very proud of his medal.
Erik, Mark & I ran it for the second year in a row, and were joined by Bridget, Suzanne, Simon and Angela. Levi & Sophia went along for the ride in their strollers. Steve, Heidi and Garrett provided great team support.
It was a beautiful day, the weather was perfect, the winding course around the island has fantastic views and the after-race lobster bake was a fun time.
We hope to see everyone running again next year and would love to see some new faces, so consider this an invitation and a challenge to Tim, Danielle, Brad and Garrett!
Way to go Silas! You look speedy fast running in your first race. Congratulations to everyone else. Maybe next year Opa and I will come and watch you run. It would be fun to rent a place on Peaks Island for the week of the race, anyone interested?
