2009 is here and we're tired. The past year was an exciting, but busy one for us. We bought a humongous Airstream and truck, Mark started a new job in another state, we moved - a lot - the boys and I have lived in seven different houses/apartments/campers in the past seven months! We have driven a lot of miles in a lot of places, including Colorado, Arizona, Utah, Nevada, California, Idaho, Wyoming, Montana, North Dakota, Minnesota, Michigan, Ontario, Quebec, Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine, Massachusetts, Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Missouri and Kansas. The boys have been real troopers through all of it. It is hard to believe they are the same guys that would scream for entire car rides in their early years. Silas says he loves to ride now, especially at night.
We just finished our most recent move today. We only went from a small apartment to the larger house next door, but it was a move and a lot of work! At least I know we'll be in one spot for at least two months before packing up again.
Now that the hard work is over, we're relaxing and playing with new gifts (we enjoyed a quiet, lovely, very snowy Christmas), including a very exciting volcano kit - thanks Aunt Karen, Uncle Bill, Jenny and especially John!
We're hoping for a peaceful 2009 and wish all our friends and family a happy, healthy new year!
