Today, our second moth hatched! What I thought sounded like a mouse chewing inside the wall, turned out to be a Luna moth clawing its way out of the cocoon. Here is a video of the final moments:

Very beautiful... The Betts' showed us one year how to hatch Monarch butterflies. I actually filmed one coming out of the cocoon.. though it took lots of rewinding of the video tape. It's pretty amazing. Circle of life.. The big kids' are too hip for that now..is hip even a word anymore? Dating myself again, darnit.
