I was having a hard time letting go of summer, but the weather has pushed me to accept that fall is here. Now that I have gotten used to the idea, I love it. The days have been cool, crisp and sunny and the nights cool enough to require a fire to keep us warm.
Our summers in Maine seem to go by in the blink of an eye. Even though I love the fall, I'm not quite ready to let go of summer just yet. We've spent the last few weeks at camp and the boys and I can't seem to pull ourselves away, we need just a little more fishing, swimming, kayaking, turtle-watching and maybe a little more sailing before we say goodbye to summer.
We had a good, but very busy summer. One of the highlights for the boys was a visit from their Nana & Opa. Silas & Levi helped their Opa build the most elaborate fairy house/hotel I've ever seen. They placed it by a tree outside the window so we can watch for fairies all year long.
