A load of wood

Our friend Simon recently delivered a load of firewood for us.

Who could have guessed what fun this pile of wood would bring!  Not only will it help keep us warm this winter, it has provided hours of exercise, learning and playing opportunities.  While hauling and stacking the wood, we've discovered so many things - salamanders, caterpillars - one in a cocoon, snails, even an old mudflap!

A pile of wood.... or a neatly stacked in the same place for over a year pile of wood still needs to protection from the elements.. can you hear me Garrett and Erik?? Get to work like Uncle Mark and Aunt Michelle will be.. As always great to see you!
