As I mentioned in a previous blog post, I am not happy about Maine's new Governor. I recently read an article in the Portland Phoenix that explains why LePage is proposing to repeal critical environmental and health laws - his proposal was written by a paid official corporate lobbyist for companies that will profit directly from the changes, including Merck and PHRMA (hoping to repeal the Kid Safe Product Act) and the Toy Industry Association of America, which wants to continue selling toys and sippy cups with the toxic chemical BPA. Other laws that LePage hopes to repeal will benefit out-of-state corporations that contributed to his campaign. LePage won't cater to special interest groups, unless they pay him to do it. Read many more explanations for Lepage's actions in the full story here:
And in another shocking display of ignorance, LePage has announced that the toxic chemical BPA, despite many scientific studies indicating serious risks to fetuses and children, is "not a problem". In fact, he states that the "worst case is some women could have little beards". I guess PHRMA or the Toy Industry Associaton of America's payments have convinced him to disregard overwhileming scientific consensus that BPA is a human health hazard. Full article here:

You don't need to be a Maine resident to send him this message.
Thank you!
Paul LePage IS a moron. And an embarrassment. And quite frankly, really scary. Thanks for reminding us how important it is to use our voices!
Hope your upside down trick is working...Cricket is due in March, right? How exciting!!!
